KUWAIT, May 29 (Reuters) - Kuwait reappointed Sheikh Ahmad al-Abdullah al-Sabah as oil minister on Friday, in a new cabinet that could help end a political standoff that has delayed economic reforms in the OPEC producer, state media said.
The world's fourth-largest oil exporter has been hit by a series of political crises, with the cabinet resigning in March to avert a request by deputies to question Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser al-Mohammad al-Sabah, a nephew of the ruler.
The Gulf Arab state's ruler, Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, dissolved parliament in March and reappointed Sheikh Nasser as prime minister after elections earlier this month. He has now formed his sixth cabinet since 2006. Continued...
