ConEdison Solutions buys Kansas energy service co
NEW YORK, May 1 (Reuters) - Consolidated Edison Inc's (ED.N: Quote, Profile, Research) energy services subsidiary ConEdison Solutions expanded its national footprint through the acquisition of Midwestern energy services company Custom Energy Services LLC, the company said in a release Thursday.
The company did not disclose the financial details of the acquisition in the release.
Custom Energy, of Overland Park, Kansas, will allow ConEdison Solutions to further expand into the Midwest.
ConEdison Solutions has offices in New York, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina and Texas serving customers in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast and Texas.
In addition to the unregulated ConEdison Solutions operations, Con Edison, the New York City-based parent, transmits and distributes electricity, natural gas and steam to more than 3.5 million customers in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania through its regulated subsidiaries.
