MEXICO CITY, June 15 (Reuters) - Mexican retailers group ANTAD said on Monday its members' same-store sales rose 0.1 percent in May compared with the same month in 2008.

"We don't think in any way that the crisis is over," said ANTAD President Vicente Yanez. "We are seeing spots of recovery in a sea of bad news," he added referring to May results.

In April, same-store sales rose 5.4 percent helped by a calendar effect, panic shopping due to the flu outbreak, and an uptick in Mexico's battered consumer confidence.

ANTAD groups leading supermarket chains like Wal-Mart de Mexico (WALMEXV.MX: Quote, Profile, Research), Soriana (SORIANAB.MX: Quote, Profile, Research) and Comercial Mexicana (COMEUBC.MX: Quote, Profile, Research) as well as department and specialty stores.

The group maintained its outlook for full-year 2009 growth in same-store sales, which measures performance at outlets open for at least 12 months, of 0.6 percent. (Reporting by Luis Rojas; Editing by James Dalgleish)
