US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Dow, S&P fall 1 pct; Nasdaq turns negative
NEW YORK, May 27 (Reuters) - The Dow and S&P 500 indexes each fell more than 1 percent, led by materials and industrial shares, in afternoon trading on Wednesday, while the Nasdaq turned negative.
U.S. Treasuries also fell.
* The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI was down 92.87 points, or 1.10 percent, at 8,380.62. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX was down 7.71 points, or 0.85 percent, at 902.62. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC was down 4.28 points, or 0.24 percent, at 1,746.15. (Editing by Padraic Cassidy)
