Strayer Education may be a good pick - Barron's
NEW YORK, May 31 (Reuters) - Investors in Strayer Education Inc (STRA.O: Quote, Profile, Research) might want to cover their short positions after Lone Pine Capital's Steve Mandel singled the education company out as his top investment pick, Barron's reported.
Mandel, speaking at a conference, cited the company's strong profitability and long-term expansion opportunities, according to the June 1 edition of Barron's.
On the other hand, Barron's said, the education market may be hurt by the tough economy and by government efforts to squeeze costs of for-profit education.
While there is a lot about the stock that does not make sense, Barrons' said, it may still be wise to cover.
