Pilgrim's Pride exits turkey business with sale
ATLANTA, March 10 (Reuters) - Poultry producer Pilgrim's Pride Corp (PPC.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Monday that it exited the turkey production business with the sale of a facility and distribution center to a unit of Hain Pure Protein Corp.
The company said the sale would allow it to focus on building its core chicken business.
Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed, but the company said there was no material gain or loss as a result of the deal. (Reporting by Karen Jacobs, Editing by John Wallace)
