Icahn says Enzon should explore strategic alternatives
March 14 (Reuters) - Billionaire investor Carl Icahn said Enzon Pharmaceuticals Inc (ENZN.O: Quote, Profile, Research) should conduct a review of strategic transactions, including a spinoff or possible sale of the company, according to a regulatory filing.
Icahn, who reported a 6.93 percent stake in the biopharmaceutical company, said the stock is undervalued.
Icahn has not reached an agreement, arrangement or understanding with Enzon but he plans to have further talks with the company. (Reporting by Shivani Singh in Bangalore; Editing by Gopakumar Warrier)
