Herman Miller, 3 U.S. states reach court deal
NEW YORK, March 25 (Reuters) - Herman Miller Inc (MLHR.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Tuesday it had reached a $750,000 settlement with New York, Michigan and Illinois over its advertising practices.
The U.S. office furniture maker said the agreement prohibits the company's home unit from entering into minimum advertised price program agreements with its retail distributors until December, 2010.
The company also agreed to pay $750,000 to be divided between New York, Michigan and Illinois, an amount which had earlier been provided for in the company's financial statements. (Reporting by Chelsea Emery, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
