Bon-Ton Stores consolidation to affect 27 staffers

ATLANTA, March 28 (Reuters) - Retailer Bon-Ton Stores Inc (BONT.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Friday that it will consolidate functions at a Green Bay, Wisconsin, distribution center into other facilities in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Illinois, affecting about 27 workers.

The department store operator said the move will be effective in May and costs will not be material. Affected workers will be given a chance to transfer to nearby stores. (Reporting by Karen Jacobs; editing by John Wallace)
