US FDA approves Glenmark's metformin tablets

MUMBAI (Reuters) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd's diabetes drug metformin hydrochloride tablets in multiple strengths, the regulator's Web site said on Friday.

The agency also approved Aurobindo Pharma Ltd's benazepril hydrochloride tablets to be sold in multiple strengths in the United States. It is used to treat high blood pressure.
