SYDNEY (Reuters) - Oscar-winning Australian actress Cate Blanchett has confirmed she is pregnant with her third child, local media reported Sunday.
Speaking to reporters at a red-carpet event in Sydney to promote her new movie "Elizabeth: The Golden Age", 38-year-old Blanchett said she was expecting a baby in April.
"Yes, yes, we're expecting a baby in April which is very exciting," she told reporters on Saturday night when questioned about rumors she was pregnant.
Blanchett and her playwright husband Andrew Upton begin a three-year stint in January heading the Sydney Theatre Company where she began her career 13 years ago. They already have two sons.
