HK financial market closed on Wednesday
HONG KONG, June 30 (Reuters) - Hong Kong's financial markets will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, on the anniversary of the territory's handover to China from Britain.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index finished 0.8 percent or 149.78 points lower at 18,378.73 on Tuesday but soared 35.4 percent in the second quarter to mark its biggest quarterly gain in 15 years.
The China Enterprises Index, which represents top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks, shed 0.2 percent at 10,962.61. (Reporting by Parvathy Ullatil; Editing by David Cowell)
