Indian banks' loans grew 15.8 pct on yr on June 19
MUMBAI, July 3 (Reuters) - Indian bank loans INLOAN=ECI rose 15.8 percent on year as of June 19, the central bank's weekly statistical supplement showed on Friday.
Deposits were up 22.0 percent from a year earlier.
Outstanding loans rose by 130.06 billion rupees ($2.7 billion) to 27.70 trillion rupees in the two weeks to June 19.
Non-food credit rose by 114.52 billion rupees to 27.10 trillion rupees in the two weeks, while food credit rose by 15.53 billion rupees to 606.61 billion in the same period.
Bank deposits fell by 55.02 billion rupees to 39.66 trillion rupees in the two weeks to June 19, the WSS showed. ($1 = 47.9 Indian rupees) (Reporting by Mumbai Treasury Desk; Editing by Ramya Venugopal)
