Dollar rises versus euro as stocks extend gains
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The dollar rose versus the euro on Thursday after U.S. stocks extended gains on optimism about potential deals and as oil prices fell further, offsetting weak economic data.
In afternoon trading in New York, the euro was down 0.3 percent at $1.5429 after trading as high as $1.5547. The dollar trimmed losses against the yen and last traded down 0.1 percent at 104.92 yen.
