Indian cbank seen selling dlrs to help rupee-traders

MUMBAI, Sept 5 (Reuters) - India's central bank was seen selling dollars on Friday afternoon as the rupee fell to an 18-month low of 44.63 per dollar, traders said.

At 3:12 p.m. (0942 GMT), the partially convertible rupee INR=IN was at 44.56/57 against the previous close of 44.35/36.

Traders said the central bank sold dollars at 44.62. (Reporting by Swati Bhat)
