AFFILIATED MANAGERS GROUP (AMG.N: Quote, Profile, Research)

AMG, the U.S. asset management group that takes stakes in other managers, is opening an office in London in order to extend the global institutional distribution capabilities for its affiliates to the Middle East.

David Waite, who joins from ABN Amro Asset Management, will head the Middle East effort.

PIONEER INVESTMENTS

Pioneer Investments said Kenneth Taubes has been appointed head of U.S. portfolio management. Taubes succeeds Charles Mayer, who retired in December.

Taubes served as co-head of fixed income, U.S., after joining Pioneer Investments in 1998, and became head of fixed income in 2000.  Continued...
