MUMBAI, Nov 28 (Reuters) - India guar seed futures edged up in a lacklustre trade on Friday after arrivals at spot markets fell but gains were limited by lack of strong local and export demand, analysts said.

"There is hardly any demand in the exports market right now. May be we will see some demand in January," an analyst in Karvy COmtrade Ltd, said.

Total arrivals at the spot market in Rajasthan have almost halved to 35,000-40,000 bags of 100 kg each.

At the beginning of November, arrivals were around 70,000-80,000 bags, the analyst, said.

Prices in the spot market in Jodhpur, a hub for guar trade, ended up 0.75 percent at to 1,610.5 rupees per 100 kg.

Combined open interest fell to 228,830 tonnes from 232,250 tonnes, while volume fell to 93,780 tonnes from 170,660 tonnes.
