India's Jet says rights issue now to be in Jan/Feb
NEW DELHI, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Jet Airways Ltd (JET.BO: Quote, Profile, Research), India's top private airline, has delayed further a planned $400 million rights issue to January or February next year, its chairman said on Friday.
The airline's board approved the capital raising in June, with the funds to be used for expansion and an overhaul of Air Sahara, which it bought in April and has since renamed JetLite.
The company said on Sept. 4 it was delaying the issue by two to three months because of turmoil in global credit markets.
"There is no problem. We are going in January (or) February. There is no change. We are on track," chairman Naresh Goyal told reporters at a news conference on Friday.
