No CDs issued by Indian banks on Friday
MUMBAI, May 8 (Reuters) - Indian banks did not issue any Certificates of Deposit (CDs) on Friday, Thomson Reuters data showed.
The yield on the Reuters benchmark three-month CD <0#INCDBMK=> fell to 3.4 percent from Thursday's 3.55 percent, and volumes in the secondary CD market fell to 1.3 billion rupees from 3.25 billion rupees on Thursday.
Corporation Bank was the only issuer of CDs on Thursday, raising 1.75 billion rupees.
Total CD issuance this week amounted to 25.3 billion rupees, up from 12 billion rupees a week earlier. Secondary volumes were flat at 13.31 billion rupees versus 13.35 billion rupees. (Reporting by Jeanette Rodrigues; Editing by Prem Udayabhanu)
