-- Petrovietnam has established a $2.7 million bio-fuel manufacturing company.

-- Telecommunication cables and equipment producer and distributer Sacom SAM.HM said it posted losses of 113.5 billion dong ($6.8 million) in the first half of this year.

-- A strategic investor has cancelled investment commitments to Bach Tuyet Cotton Corporation BBT.HM as the state shareholder Gia Dinh Garment is still opposed to Bach Tuyet's share issue, a Bach Tuyet representative said.
