Wipro to hire 100 for Mexico software unit
MUMBAI (Reuters) - Wipro Technologies, the global IT services arm of Wipro Ltd, said on Tuesday it had opened its first development centre in Mexico to expand its presence in the Americas.
The centre in Monterrey will initially hire 100 people, it said in a statement.
"The facility provides Wipro with the dedicated resources to service clients in North America, Latin America and Europe with bilingual talent in a convenient time zone and close proximity," it said.
Wipro, India's third-biggest software services exporter, recently set up development centres in Brazil, Europe, China and Canada, it said. It is also setting up three software facilities in the United States.
