NMDC eyeing stake in Canada iron ore mine

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - State-run National Mineral Development Corp (NMDC) has submitted an expression of interest for a stake in an iron ore mine in Canada, a top company official told Reuters on Wednesday.

"We have given an expression of interest," Ashok Gupta, general manager of the firm, said on the sidelines of a business conference.

He said the mine had proven reserves of 1 billion tonnes of iron ore.
