PSL plans alternate energy special economic zone
MUMBAI (Reuters) - Steel pipemaker PSL Ltd has sought approval to set up an alternate energy special economic zone (SEZ) in Gujarat, Managing Director, Ashok Punj, told television channel NDTV Profit on Friday.
PSL plans to invest 2 billion rupees to create the entire range of infrastructure needed for the project.
The company aims to provide infrastructure to multiple units undertaking various activities related to alternate energy, he said.
The steel pipemaker also plans to itself set up two units in the SEZ manufacturing inputs for biodiesel and solar energy, Punj added.
