BSE Sensex drops 1.5 pct early on weak Asia

MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex fell more than 1.5 percent early on Monday, as investor confidence across Asia was hurt by worries about the health of the global economy.

At 9:56 a.m., the 30-share BSE index was down 1.3 percent at 13,332.34 points, with 28 stocks declining, after falling to 13,287.08.

The 50-share NSE index was down 1.4 percent at 3,949.05.
