BSE Sensex extends losses to 2 pct
MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex extended its losses to more than 2 percent by mid-day on Monday as jitters about the global economy and uncertainty about corporate earnings hit investor confidence across Asia.
At 12:05 p.m. (0635 GMT), the 30-share BSE index was down 2.1 percent at 13,222.62 points, with 27 stocks declining.
The 50-share NSE index was down 2 percent at 3,922.90.
