MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex provisionally closed 0.8 percent lower on Friday, hurt by weak global stocks and disappointing earnings from companies such as Oil & Natural Gas Corp(ONGC.BO) and Mahindra and Mahindra(MAHM.BO).

The 30-share BSE index provisionally ended down 0.84 percent or 150.26 points at 17,841.74, with 24 components losing ground.

The 50-share NSE index provisionally closed nearly 1 percent lower at 5,356.40 points.
