Indonesia's Gudang Garam H1 net profit up 25 pct

JAKARTA, July 29 (Reuters) - Indonesia's largest tobacco company, PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM.JK: Quote, Profile, Research), reported on Tuesday a 25 percent rise in its first-half net profit, helped by lower operating costs.

Net profit rose to 891.4 billion rupiah ($97.78 million) in the January-June period, from 710.6 billion a year ago, while its revenue in the first six months climbed by around 12 percent to 15.1 trillion rupiah. ($1=9,116 rupiah) (Reporting by Harry Suhartono, editing by Ed Davies)
