Turkmens say China to lend $3 bln for gas field
ASHGABAT, June 5 (Reuters) - China has agreed to issue a $3 billion loan to Turkmenistan to develop the Central Asian state's largest gas field, South Iolotan, Turkmen television showed top Turkmen government officials as saying on Friday.
"It will be possible to produce 50 billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas at South Iolotan every year, and all the interested states could receive this volume for a hundred years," state television showed Turkmen President Kurbanguly Berdymukhamedov telling a government meeting.
