Shell lifts force majeures on Nigerian oil exports
LAGOS, Jan 8 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Thursday it had lifted force majeures on oil shipments from Nigeria declared last year due to attacks on its facilities and OPEC quota cuts.
Shell said it had lifted a force majeure declared by one of its Nigerian units, SPDC, in July 2008 caused by attacks on facilities and pipelines as well as a second declaration in October 2008 by its SPDC and SNEPCo units due to OPEC cuts.
It lifted the measures with effect from 1700 GMT on Jan. 7. (Reporting by Nick Tattersall)
