MILAN, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Italian Internet operator Tiscali SpA (TIS.MI: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Tuesday it would present its new strategic plan in the first weeks of 2009 aiming to outline the future of its activities in the United Kingdom.

Tiscali said in November it was in talks with British pay-TV group BSkyB (BSY.L: Quote, Profile, Research) about selling its British assets. Earlier this month, BSkyB's chief financial officer said he saw value in buying Tiscali's UK unit.

UK newspaper The Guardian reported on Monday the talks have stalled over price. Both Tiscali and BSkyB declined to comment on that report.
