- The joint Congressional Power Commission will question Jose Ibazeta, president of the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp, and Finance Secretary Margarito Teves next month on the sale of the 25-year licence to run the country's power grid. (PHILIPPINE DAILY INQUIRER)

- Philippine holding firm Filinvest Development Corp (FDC.PS: Quote, Profile, Research) said its net earnings for the nine months to September this year more than doubled to 3.91 billion pesos ($91 million) from 1.76 billion in the same period last year, boosted by one-time gains from the sale of shares. - Investments registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority amounted to 127 billion pesos as of Nov. 15 this year, up 85 percent from 68 billion pesos in the same period last year. (THE PHILIPPINE STAR)
