NEW ISSUE-India's Food Corp to raise funds via bonds-official

MUMBAI, Oct 7 (Reuters) - India's Food Corporation of India on Tuesday began selling special bonds issued by the government to it to raise up to 25 billion rupees, a company official told Reuters on Tuesday.

Food Corp was scheduled to close the sale at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. (Reporting by Swati Bhat and Anurag Joshi; Editing by Ramya Venugopal)
