Mexico's IPC stock index .MXX rose on Monday, led by a 1 percent advance in shares of miner and infrastructure firm Grupo Mexico (GMEXICOB.MX) ahead of its earnings report this week and following news it would fuse its mining units into one publicly-traded company. [ID:nN23180836]

Shares in bottler FEMSA FEMSAUBD.MX rose 0.26 percent after reporting a surge on its second-quarter profit as it recorded a gain from the sale of its beer business to Dutch giant Heineken (HEIN.AS). [ID:nN26139532]

The IPC stock index rose 0.07 percent to 32,827 ahead of data on June new home sales in the United States, Mexico's top trading partner.
