Anadarko's CEO netted nearly $27 million in '07
NEW YORK, March 31 (Reuters) - Anadarko Petroleum Corp (APC.N: Quote, Profile, Research) Chief Executive James Hackett received close to $27 million in compensation for 2007, when the oil and gas company's shares rose more than 50 percent.
Hackett, 54, received a compensation package worth $26.7 million for the year, including a $1.4 million salary, $21.7 million of stock and option awards and $3 million of incentive awards. There was an additional $572,368 in other compensation as well.
He also received $14.7 million from exercising options and stock awards during the year.
In 2006, Hackett received a pay package worth $12.9 million as well as $6 million from exercising options and stock awards. (Reporting by Michael Erman, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
