SYDNEY, Oct 5 (Reuters) - ANZ Bank Chief Executive Shayne Elliott on Wednesday apologised to customers for making mistakes in some cases.
"We have not always met the standards we set for ourselves or the community rightly expects for us," he told an Australian parliamentary committee examining the banking sector. "Each time we fall short we fail a customer or a member of the community and for that I apologise."
