LME extends far-forward copper, aluminium to 10 years
SINGAPORE, June 26 (Reuters) - The London Metal Exchange will extend prompt dates for primary aluminium, copper, zinc, nickel and lead futures contracts from September 29, the exchange said in a press release on Thursday.
The longest dated contracts for aluminium and copper will be pushed out to 123 months or 10 years from 63 months currently.
The zinc and nickel prompt date will be extended to 63 months from 27 months, lead will run to 63 months from 15 months.
"Traded Options and TAPOs tradable months will not be extended for any contract. Prompt dates for the tin, aluminium alloy, North American Special Aluminium Alloy, plastics, steel, Cleared Average Price Swaps, Index and LMEmini contracts remain unchanged," the statement added.
