MUMBAI, May 15 (Reuters) - Indian shares opened 0.63 percent higher on Thursday, led by Reliance Industries Ltd (RELI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) and Larsen & Toubro (LART.BO: Quote, Profile, Research).
At 9:56 a.m. (0426 GMT), the 30-share BSE index was up 0.65 percent, or 108.53 points, at 17,086.88.
The 50-issue NSE index was up 0.67 percent at 5,045.15. (Reporting by Narayanan Somasundaram)
