Indian shares extend gains to 1 pct
MUMBAI, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Indian shares extended gains to 1 percent on Friday afternoon as investors sought bargains after the market dropped 3.3 percent over the past four sessions.
At 2:03 p.m. (0833 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 1.1 percent at 15,573.96 points, with 26 stocks gaining.
The 50-share NSE index .NSEI was up 1.2 percent at 4,649.75. (Reporting by Pratish Narayanan)
