3Com adjourns shareholder meet, talking to Bain

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Network equipment maker 3Com Corp (COMS.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said it would adjourn a shareholders' meeting that was scheduled for Friday, while it and Bain Capital Partners discuss ways to address regulators' concerns on their planned merger.

The company said on Thursday that it would reconvene on March 21. The deal had failed to win approval from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, which reviews deals between foreign buyers and U.S. companies.
