Euro climbs to seven-week high against the dollar

NEW YORK, Aug 21 (Reuters) - The euro rallied one percent to a fresh seven-week high against the dollar on Tuesday, bolstered by talk the European Central Bank will take action to ease Spanish and Italian borrowing costs.

The euro was last at $1.2466, up 1 percent, after climbing as high as $1.2473, the highest since July 5.
