Merkel, Obama agree fair deal on interests
BERLIN, May 30 (Reuters) - Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke with U.S. President Barack Obama about General Motors GM.N German unit Opel and they were in agreement on a fair deal on the respective interests, a government source said on Saturday.
Germany is also confident that other European Union countries will not have any qualms with the the plans for the Opel rescue, a source told journalists.
