Freddie Mac sells $1 bln notes in reopening

NEW YORK, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Freddie Mac (FRE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) (FRE.P: Quote, Profile, Research), the No. 2 U.S. home funding company, said on Wednesday it sold $1 billion in two-year reference notes in a reopening of an existing two-year issue via an Internet-based auction.

The notes will mature on Dec. 15, 2011 and were priced at a 1.179 percent stop-out rate.

The bid-to-cover ratio was 4.01.

Freddie Mac's next issuance window will be on Nov. 16. (Reporting by Caryn Trokie; Editing by James Dalgleish)
