SAO PAULO, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Brazil's central bank said it will offer about $2.3 billion in dollar swap contracts on Tuesday, auctioning the contracts for the second straight day in a bid to quench demand for the U.S. currency in the foreign exchange market.

The bank will offer 46,050 contracts, each worth $50,000.

Brazil's currency, the real BRBY plunged 7 percent on Monday, even after the bank sold $1.47 billion of $2.1 billion on offer of swaps. (Reporting by Elzio Barreto; Editing by Tom Hals)
