Mexico's Carstens to meet with rating agencies
MEXICO CITY, June 12 (Reuters) - Mexico's Finance Minister Agustin Carstens will meet with ratings agencies in the United States to assure them Mexico is committed to solid public finances, the ministry said on Friday.
Investors have speculated recently that Mexico's credit rating could be downgraded as the country's economy shrinks and public coffers remain dependent on oil exports, which have been falling. (Reporting by Jason Lange)
