U.S. Fed to purchase agency securities Friday

NEW YORK, April 23 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Reserve will buy agency debt maturing May 2011 through April 2013 on Friday, the New York Federal Reserve said on its web site on Thursday.

The purchases of the debt of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Home Loan Bank will take place between 10:30 a.m. (1430 GMT) to 11:00 a.m. (1500 GMT), the New York Fed said.

The purchases will settle on April 27.
