Vodafone to get complete control of Arcor: sources
FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Vodafone (VOD.L: Quote, Profile, Research) is set to get complete control of German mobile phone unit Arcor after minority shareholders agreed to sell their stakes, sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.
The supervisory board of German railroad operator Deutsche Bahn DBN.UL has approved selling its 18.2 percent stake for around 330 million euros ($511 million), according to one industry source and a person close to the railway operator.
Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) will get around 145 million euros for its 8.2 percent stake, the sources said.
Deutsche Bahn and Deutsche Bank declined comment. A Vodafone spokesman said only that the company had always expressed interest in buying out minority shareholders at an appropriate price.
