Mexico's Cemex says creditors to swap debt into high yield notes

MEXICO CITY, Aug 21 (Reuters) - Mexican cement maker Cemex said on Tuesday that some creditors are willing to swap about $470 million worth of debt into new high yield notes as part of a broader refinancing deal it pitched to lenders in June.

The plan offered by Cemex also included possible asset sales, a prepayment and revised financial covenants.
