Mexican peso strengthens to best level since Trump win

MEXICO CITY, April 12 (Reuters) - Mexico's peso strengthened by more than 1 percent on Wednesday to its strongest level since Donald Trump won the U.S. election, after the U.S. president said the dollar was getting too strong, lifting emerging market currencies.

The peso firmed more than 1 percent to 18.57 per dollar, its best showing since Nov. 9. (Reporting by Miguel Angel Gutierrez)
