Mexico stocks hit by Cemex losses, US economy woes
MEXICO CITY, June 15 (Reuters) - Mexican stocks sank on Monday, hit by steep losses at cement maker Cemex (CMXCPO.MX: Quote, Profile, Research) after it sold its Australian unit, and by U.S. factory data that dented optimism about an economic recovery in the United States.
The IPC stock index .MXX broke a seven session winning streak, losing 2.50 percent to 24,823 points, also hurt by a slide in shares of miner Grupo Mexico (GMEXICOB.MX: Quote, Profile, Research), which fell on a slump in commodities prices. (Reporting by Michael O'Boyle)
