India NTPC sees supply from coal tender in 10 days
NEW DELHI, Nov 4 (Reuters) - India's NTPC (NTPC.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) expects imports of 12.5 million tonnes of coal, for which suppliers were chosen last week after a tender, to begin in 10 days, Chairman R.S. Sharma told Reuters on Wednesday.
The tender was awarded by state-run trader MMTC Ltd (MMTC.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) on behalf of NTPC, India's biggest power producer. (Reporting by Nidhi Verma)
